Robbery in Gas Station Parking Lot

UnknownCHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested two men accused of robbing a person at a gas station early Friday morning.

Police said Steven William Holden and Jason Reuben Williamson robbed a man at a gas station on North Tryon Street around 2 a.m.

The victim told police that he was in the parking lot of the gas station when he was approached by the two suspects who were armed with a knife.

The victim said that Holden and Williamson began to assault him and took his cell phone and wallet.

The suspects then fled the scene on foot, police said.

During the robbery the victim was cut with the knife and received minor injuries. The victim was transported by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center-University.

Police were able to track down Holden and Williamson a few moments after the robbery.

Holden and Williamson were charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
