Rock Hill Couple Forged Checks from Wife’s Mother

BobbyPolice said they arrested a Rock Hill husband and wife accused of stealing and forging several checks from the account belonging to the woman’s mother.

Police charged Bobby Ross Martin III, 39, and Amy Martin, 34, with one count of criminal conspiracy and six counts of forgery each after being arrested at a traffic stop, jail records show. They were both still held in Rock Hill city jail as of Thursday.

Amy Martin’s mother told police on Aug. 1 that her daughter had forged and cashed multiple checks in her name, a police report showed. She showed officers copies of her checks and said the signatures were written by her daughter.

Police said the check amounts were each between $40 and $85.
