Rock Hill Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

A Rock Hill man has been arrested after being accused of attempted murder.

The attempted murder occurred earlier in the month. According to Rock Hill police, a male suspect entered a convenience store with a firearm and fired the weapon.

Police were able to identify the suspect as 36-year-old Fronta Pernell McCrorey, and investigations took place in an attempt to find and apprehend the suspect.

Officers made the arrest after finding a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s car outside of a residence on Archive Street. When police arrived at the house on Thursday, they found two other people inside the house who told police that McCrorey was not at the home.

Further searches were conducted, and police were able to locate the suspect who was hiding behind a toilet inside a false room.

As a result, McCrorey was arrested and charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
