SALISBURY, N.C. — A Cabarrus County woman is facing methamphetamine charges after the car she was riding in was pulled over near Salisbury.
Lindy Christie Pistone, 36, of Concord was a passenger in a car that was stopped Tuesday on U.S. 29. Deputies said they found a one-pot methamphetamine laboratory in the vehicle, along with items used to manufacture meth.
Deputies said they also found several stolen identifications in Pistone’s purse.
Investigators said they believe Pistone was using the IDs to get pseudoephedrine in other people’s names to get around state laws regulating pseudoephedrine, which is a primary ingredient in manufacturing meth. They said Pistone will be investigated for identity theft and could face additional charges.
She is currently charged with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine, three counts of possession of precursor chemicals used in manufacturing methamphetamine and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia used to manufacture a controlled substance.
Pistone is being held on $75,000 secured bond.
