Rowan County Carjacking Victim Had Stopped to Help Woman

CIC Default CrimeA man from Rowan County was carjacked on Sunday after he stopped to help a woman in Salisbury who seemed to be having trouble with her car.

When the man stopped on Sherills Ford Road and approached the woman’s vehicle to assist about 6:15 a.m., he was met by a man armed with a shotgun, WBTV reported.

The man ran on foot. The truck he had been driving was recovered later.

Blanca Alejandre was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, robbery with firearms, and second-degree kidnapping, including possible other charges.
