Rowan County Police Arrest Two Men for Drug Trafficking

Christian Raenard Carter (1)An eight-month-long undercover investigation of Rowan County illegal opioid pain medication sales has led to the arrest of two Mooresville men on drug trafficking charges this Monday.

Those charged were Ibn Khalif Thompson, 28, and Christian Raenard Carter, 22.

Thompson has been charged with one count of sell and deliver of oxycodone, nine counts of trafficking opium/heroin, one count of possession with intent to sell, deliver, and manufacture oxyocodone, and one count of conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin. He has been jail on bail of $250,000.

Carter was charged with conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin and was jailed on bail of $25,000.

Mooresville police assisted Rowan County investigators with undercover drug buys throughout November, December, May, and June that led to the arrests.
