Sandy And Casey Parsons Questioned By FBI

dr phil shoSALISBURY, N.C. – The FBI interviewed the parents of missing teen Erica Parsons Monday morning, apparently to go over a new tip, according to the family attorney.

The questioning lasted about an hour.

Casey and Sandy Parsons did not answer questions after leaving the attorney’s office. Neither did the FBI.

The family’s attorney says in general, when the FBI gets new tips about Erica, they meet with the Parsonses to verify it, and see what, if anything, the Parsonses know about it.

Overall, investigators say they’ve gotten a number of tips since they started looking for Erica about a month ago, after her older brother reported her missing, two years after she was last seen at home.

The hope is digital billboards will bring in even more.

Adams Outdoor Advertising is putting up about 15 of them along interstates in the greater Charlotte area.

Attorney Carlyle Sherrill says Casey and Sandy routinely talk to the FBI, and it shows how the family is working with law enforcement to help find Erica.

Casey and Sandy say Erica willingly left home to live with her grandmother in the mountains, and they want to find her, too.

Investigators say that story isn’t true, and in search warrants allege Casey and Sandy Parsons verbally and physically abused Erica before she disappeared.

The Parsons deny any harm and wrongdoing. Nobody has been arrested or charged with Erica’s disappearance.

Monday evening, the couple could be seen at their home on Miller Chapel Road, loading personal belonging into several vehicles, leading some neighbors to wonder if they were planning to move.
