Police in Mint Hill are still searching for a 16 year old girl that was last seen Sunday afternoon. According to the girl’s father, she left her home around 2:30pm to go for a bike ride.
Police and fire units spent Monday at a nearby pond on Pumpkin Way Drive. A few items of the girl’s were found- her bike, cell phone, and a bike hat. Police wrapped up their search at the phone around 3:30pm.
Officials are releasing few details and will not say whether or not they believe the girl was abducted. Kayla Campbell is described as being 5’6″, 115 lbs, with long brown hair and blue eyes. If you know the whereabouts of the teen, please call 911.
