Man Shot & Killed on Mazen Court

On Saturday night, CMPD Officers responded to 3300 Mazen Court in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, police found 18-year old David Morales Carrillo deceased and 30-year old Guadalupe Ramirez suffering from non-life threatening injuries. Ms. Ramirez was transported to the hospital and has since been released.

Police say 30-year old Ruben Garcia Padron is responsible for the shooting/murder. He is described as a hispanic male, 5'9" and 175 pounds.

FBI Seeks Help Tracking Down a Serial Bank Robber

The FBI is asking for the public’s help tracking down a bank robber who has robbed three banks and attempted to rob two others in the span of two weeks. In addition, he is suspected of robbing six other banks in the past six years.

FBI Agents say a man fitting the same description attempted to rob the Wachovia Bank at 8800 J.M. Keynes Boulevard in Charlotte on April 18th. Several hours later, he robbed the Coastal Federal Credit Union at 970 Branchview Drive in Concord. On April 20th, he tried to rob the BB&T at 830 Groves Street in Lowell, NC. A few hours later, a man fitting the same description robbed the BB&T at 5145 Poplar Tent Road in Concord, NC. On April 30, agents say same man robbed the BB&T at 1782 Highway 160 in Fort Mill, SC.

The same man fits descriptions in 6 other bank robberies in the past three years in the Charlotte and Gastonia areas: Clearview Federal Credit Union, 2830 Boyer Street, 07/07/2005; RBC Centura Bank, 14925 John J. Delaney Drive, 08/09/2005; RBC Centura Bank, 230 E. W.T. Harris Blvd., 10/19/2005; Wachovia Bank, 1527 W. Morehead St., 12/30/2005; First Citizens Bank, 7837 Pineville Mathews Road, 06/05/2006; RBC Centura Bank, 1000 East Blvd., 11/01/2006

Man Wanted for Several Bank Robberies

The FBI Safe Streets Task Force is asking for help in locating the man suspected of robbing two Credit Unions in Charlotte and a bank in Gastonia. In addition, he is wanted in two cities in Georgia.

Investigators believe the man in the surveillance photos from the Truliant Federal Credit Union on March 17th and the surveillance photos from the State Employees Credit Union on February 29th, is Marcus Antwain Chisholm. He also goes by the name Brice Williams.

CMPD Seeks Armed Robbery Suspect

UPDATE:
Sanquan Davis surrendered to VCAT officers on the afternoon of March 18, 2008. Following up on leads the team developed, VCAT established surveillance of the Microtel Inn on McCullough Drive in Charlotte. Just as they were moving in to take Davis into custody, Davis emerged from his room and surrendered.

In addition to the original charges, Davis also faces charges for removing the electronic monitoring device that had been a condition of his release on bond. He is being returned to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail.

Sanquan Davis (Shown R) was arrested for the armed robbery of a Waffle House on May 10, 2007.

After being released on bond, Davis was re-arrested for carrying a concealed gun and possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine. Davis was court ordered into CMPD's Electronic Monitoring program on December 14, 2007.

On March 4, 2008, Sanquan Davis cut off his electronic monitor and hasn't been seen since. Davis currently has several outstanding warrants for his arrest as a result of his failure to comply with the court order.

Sanquan Davis should be considered armed and dangerous. Davis is known to frequent South Boulevard, Sharon Lakes and Nations Ford Road area in south Charlotte.

Wanted: Family Dollar Robbers

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Family Dollar Store, located at 6701 N. Tryon Street. (In the Tom Hunter/Hidden Valley area) Police believe the suspects may be involved in similar robberies in the area.

The suspects faces are pretty well concealed, however, detectives are hoping that someone may recognize the suspects distinctive jackets. If you have any information, please contact crime stoppers 704-336-1600.

Police Seeking Subway Robber

CMPD Robbery Detectives are looking to identify the shown armed robber. - View video clip of robbery -

On February 7th, the suspect entered the Subway located at 5650 Albemarle Road and robbed the business at gunpoint.

On February 12th, he entered the Subway located at 8112 Idlewild Road and robbed the business at gunpoint.

Witnesses describe him as wearing "aviator" style glasses with gold rims. He is possibly wearing a brown knit cap on his head. Most notably he has a pointed goatee. He is described as 6'0"-6' 2" tall and has a slim build.

CMPD Seeking Man for Outstanding Warrants

CMPD Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Dontavious McCall Mills. (R)

Mills has two outstanding misdemeanor warrants in Mecklenburg County and multiple felony warrants out of Cabarrus County. The felony warrants out of Cabarrus County are for B&E and Larceny.

The vehicle that he may be an occupant in is a grayish-blue Ford Focus. A possible tag on the vehicle is WWZ-2705.

Patricia Ryan Drive Triple Homicide

Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Huntersville Police Department detectives are continuing to investigate a triple murder and arson that occurred on February 4th. It is a joint investigation because two victims were found murdered inside a burning home on Patricia Ryan Drive, located in Charlotte. A third victim was found by a passing motorist on Howell Ridge Road, located in Huntersville. Police say the two incidents are connected. CMPD has positively identified one of the two victims found inside the burning house on Patricia Ryan Drive as Kevin Ashley Young, 34, also known as "Fergie". Some media outlets have identified the victim as Paul Jenkins, which was an alias. Efforts to identify the second victim found inside the home are continuing. Huntersville Police identified the woman found on Howell Ridge Road as Jasmine Ranae Hines, 18.

Detectives continue working other aspects of the case and are interested in identifying and interviewing the man and vehicle pictured. The van is believed to be a Chevrolet Venture- extended model.

Man Wanted for Oak Arbor Lane Shooting

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Timothy Antoine Mackey, also known as “Puff.”

Mackey is wanted on two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Intending to Kill- Inflicting Serious Injury, Kidnapping and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. The charges are in connection with the January 19th shooting on Oak Arbor Lane.

Mackey is believed to be somewhere in the Rock Hill area. He is armed and should be considered extremely dangerous. If you see him, call 911 or if you have information that could lead officers to his whereabouts, please call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

Man Wanted for Hotel Robbery

On January 15th, a black male (shown above) robbed the Country Inns and Suites, located at 2541 Little Rock Road. As you can see from the photo, the suspect demanded money from the desk clerk at gunpoint.

Police Seeking Man who Escaped Custody

UPDATE: 1/26/08: Police have arrested Terrell Williams.

CMPD detectives are seeking information on the whereabouts of Terrell Joseph Williams. (R) Anyone who sees Williams or knows where he is should call 911 immediately. Anyone caught assisting or harboring Williams could face criminal charges.

Williams broke free and ran from police custody this evening while being escorted from the Hickory Grove Division Office to a patrol car for transport to the jail. He was handcuffed at the time.

Officers gave chase and were unable to locate him. K-9 and the helicopter were also called in to assist with the extensive search. He was arrested today on charges stemming from a burglary that occurred this afternoon in the 6800 block of Silver Valley Drive.

Williams is a convicted felon currently wanted for 2nd Degree Trespass, Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Resisting a Public Officer, PWISD Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His history includes previous arrests for auto theft, trespassing, robbery, burglary and larceny.

Police arrested two other suspects today for the same Silver Valley Drive burglary. Rico Kamson and Reno Kamson were charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. Reno Kamson is also charged with Possession of Stolen Goods. He had items in his possession that had been reported stolen in a Mint Hill burglary on January 11, 2008.

They are both in the Mecklenburg County Jail. Detectives are also investigating whether these suspects were involved in any other recent burglaries.

Police Seeking Armed Robbery Suspects

On the morning of December 31st, two suspects entered the Harris Teeter, located at 8600 University City Blvd. and committed an armed robbery.

Police say one of the suspects pulled out a large silver handgun and both robbed the store. The suspects fled the scene in a stolen black Toyota Camry that was recovered a short time later abandoned.

The first suspect is described as 6’0", with a thin build. He has a thin beard and mustache and was wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants and white gloves. The second suspect is described as 5’-6”, 140 lbs. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie with a multi-colored design on the front of it, dark pants and a white bandanna over his face. Both suspects appeared to be in their early 20’s. There was possibly a third suspect that entered the store and left without purchasing anything just prior to the robbery.

CMPD Seeking Woman Wanted for Embezzlement

Last July, the owner of P & P Heating and Air Conditioning reported to police that Mary McCallum Belin, 62, embezzled over $17,000 from his business.
The police investigation was completed and presented to the District Attorney on December 20th, 2007. As a result, 34 forgery warrants were signed on the suspect.

Police Looking for Dilworth Billiards Shooter

UPDATE: 12-31-07- Cedric Gaston was apprehended. He is in the Mecklenburg County Jail with a bond set at $215,000.

Last night, WBTV reported that police are looking for 20-year old Cedric Gaston, (Shown R) who they believe is one of the men responsible for robbing and shooting the owner of Dilworth Billiards earlier this month.

As usual, Gaston has a lengthy criminal record in North Carolina and South Carolina- including 16 arrests in Charlotte since March of 2005.

Bojangles Robbed on Mallard Creek Road

On Wednesday night, the Bojangles located at 10300 Mallard Creek Rd. was robbed by a light skinned black male wearing jeans and a bandana. The suspect was armed with a handgun at the time of the robbery. After robbing the store, the suspect fled on foot toward the rear of the restaurant.
