A fight and shooting early Sunday in Statesville led to one man dying and another getting wounded.
The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Wilmington Avenue.
38-year-old Leon Tremaine Bradshaw of Statesville was shot in the chest and taken to Iredell Memorial Hospital. He dead there from his injuries.
The wounded man was Deleon Carshar Dalton, 34, of Statesville and Bradshaw’s brother. He was shot in both of his legs.
Police have no identified a suspect in the shootings.
A call was made to Statesville police about fighting in the street of Wilmington Avenue about 5:09 a.m., the police report shows. The brothers had been at a party in a house on the same street during that time.
Officers also received a call about shots fired on the way to the location. Police saw a group of people outside of the house, the police report said. Bradshaw was lying in the doorway with gunshot wounds.
