Shots Fired, 1 Hit With Baseball Bat at E. Charlotte Apartments

Police answered a call to an apartment complex at about 4:15 p.m. in the 7300 block of Rose Terrace Court, close to East W.T. Harris Boulevard.

According to police, someone shot a weapon, striking at least one of the apartment units, then fled in a vehicle. There were no shooting injuries.

During the incident, a baseball bat was used to strike one person in the head. The victim was taken to a hospital in the area and they are expected to be okay. The name of the victim has not been released.

There was been no one charged in connection with what happened. Authorities are trying to figure out exactly what occurred and are interviewing witnesses to the incident.
