Police are investigating a situation where someone shot a kitten with a BB gun multiple times.
A 58-year-old woman reported reported someone was in her yard shooting at a kitten, the sheriff’s report said. Deputies responded to a home on Plaxco Road.
The woman said the unidentified person shot the BB gun at an 8 week old kitten and that its right eye was damaged from the BB.
The kitten was found to be shot several times after the woman brought it to a veterinarian in York, police said. The kitten might need its right eye removed and had a BB in its lung.
A 16-year-old boy is listed as a possible suspect but there have been no arrests.
The owner of the kitten, Vera Wilson, said it belongs to her grandchild. The cat has been named “Survivor.”
