Stabbing at ‘Oasis Tent’ Event Leaves 2 Injured

police car with tapeA stabbing that occurred at an event catering to CIAA attendees left two people with life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to a call at the Oasis Tent about assault with a deadly weapon, a compiled report by the city of Charlotte said.

Police found two people stabbed with life-threatening injuries. The victims were transported to Carolinas Medical Center.

Names of the victims or the suspect have not been released.

The incident at the Oasis Tent, constructed in a parking lot last week at Ninth Street and North College Street, occurred six hours after two victims were injured from a shooting at another event for CIAA party-goers. The event featured rappers such as Meek Hill and Nikki Minaj.

The shooting incident happened at the Label nightclub located in the NC Music Factory complex at about 7 p.m. Saturday, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Responding police to the shooting found a woman with a gunshot wound who was transported to Carolinas Medical Center. Another victim was discovered soon after, also with a gunshot wound and taken to the medical center.
