Suspect Caught After Robbing Five Charlotte Stores

Alex Arnez JonesA man has been arrested and charged in connection with the robberies of five different Charlotte stores, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Alex Arnez Jones, 26, has been charged with second-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was held on bail set at $225,000 at Mecklenburg County jail on Thursday.

The first robbery occurred on Nov. 17 around noon at the Boost Mobile located in the 3600 block of Central Avenue, according to police.

At 8:45 p.m. that same day, the second robbery happened at the Fuel Mart in the 5000 block of North Tryon Street, followed by the third robbery at the Subway in the 6100 block of South Boulevard 30 minutes later.

On Saturday around 10:40 a.m., the fourth robbery occurred at Beautiful Hair in the 1700 block of Central Avenue. Then I Beauty 210 in the 4800 block of North Tryon Street was robbed at 9:15 a.m. on Monday.
