Suspect Wanted In Several Cases Finally In Custody

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police in Charlotte say they have arrested a man who was wanted in three shooting incidents last month.

Trevon Dameion Young, 24, is charged with multiple assault with a deadly weapon charges, according to a news release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

On Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at 10:54 p.m., Providence Division patrol officers responded to the 3400 block of Oak Arbor Lane regarding an ADW call for service.  The victim stated that they were inside their apartment when the suspect began to shoot at the apartment building.  Responding officers located a vehicle in the parking lot that was also damaged by gunfire.  There were no injuries during this shooting.

On Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013,  at 10:04 p.m., Westover Division patrol officers responded to an ADW call for service at the 2700 block of West Boulevard.  The victim stated that while he was sitting in his car the suspect entered his vehicle and pointed a gun at him.  The victim stated that the suspect then robbed him before shooting him in his leg.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 8:30 p.m., Westover Division patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Brookhill Road in reference to a ADW call for service.  The victim stated that the suspect shot him multiple times and took his money.  The victim then drove himself to the hospital for medical treatment for the serious injuries he sustained.

Young is currently in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
