Suspects Identified During Civil Disturbances

unnamedCharlotte-Mecklenburg officers arrested Jayden Harrington, DOB: 08/12/1999, Marcellis McKenzie, DOB: 09/15/1986, and Shakiyla Green, DOB: 02/08/1994, for being involved in crimes related to property during the civil disturbances that took place on Sept. 21-22.

Police found and arrested Marcellis McKenzie on outstanding warrants for felony conspiracy, felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and injury to real property. He was taken to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.  The arrest comes after an incident at Buffalo Wild Wings.

There were also several people who broke into the Jimmy Johns at 230 South Tryon Street on Sept. 22. Police were able to identify three more subjects from evidence and information gained during the investigation.

Police charged Jayden Harrington and Shakiyla Green with felony conspiracy, felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and injury to real property. They were taken to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Warrants were also issued for Savanna Lee Jones, DOB: 11/16/1999, for felony conspiracy, felony breaking and entering, and larceny after breaking and entering.

Another person broke into a vehicle in the 300 block of East Trade Street on Sept. 21.  Police have confirmed the suspect’s identity and issued a warrant for Terrence Shatiq Terrell, DOB: 09/13/1988, for misdemeanor larceny and breaking and entering into a motor vehicle.

Officers identified and issued a warrant for Dana Denena, DOB: 06/29/1992 for felony conspiracy, felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and injury to real property in the break in at Epicentre Sundries in the 200 block of East Trade Street on Sept. 22.

Khalil Wallace, DOB: 04/26/1998, has an outstanding warrant for assault inflicting serious bodily injury on a government official and for injury to personal property. Wallace hit an officer with a wrench in the windshield and arm and windshield, causing damage to the eye.
