Teen, Juvenile Arrested, Another Teen Sought In YMCA Shooting

Crime scene tapeKINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. – Two people were arrested and a third is being sought after an 18-year-old man was shot in the abdomen at the Kings Mountain YMCA.

Police say the incident happened Wednesday around 9:10 p.m.

The victim, later identified as Joseph Frisbee, was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He was released from the hospital that same night.

Seventeen-year-old Wy’naz Sahaj Allen and a juvenile, whose name has not been released, were both arrested. Allen was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Charges against the juvenile have not been released.

A third suspect, 17-year-old DeShaun Ross, is being sought by police. He is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Allen is being held in the Cleveland County Detention Center under a $75,000 bond. The juvenile is being held at the Dallas Juvenile Detention Center.
