Teenager Arrested For Armed, Shelby Home Invasion

SHELBY, N.C. – A Mooresboro man was arrested this week after Shelby police say he took part in a recent home invasion at Parkside Villas apartment complex.

Shelby Police Capt. Rick Stafford said Christopher O’Brian Moore, 18, was one of several men to come into the apartment with a shotgun, tell a group of eight people to get on the ground and then took their money. More than $1,700 was taken, according to the police report.

Stafford said the investigation continues and more arrests are expected after the June 5 incident.

Moore faces a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

According to authorities, Moore already faced a robbery with a dangerous weapon  charge that carries a $500,000 bond and a resisting arrest charge.

His next court date is scheduled for July 24.
