Two Arrested In Homicide Case

Two men were arrested on Monday in connection with Charlotte’s second homicide of the year. The fatal shooting happened Monday afternoon around 4pm at a home near Albemarle Road in east Charlotte.

Police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call. When officers arrived they found 21 year old Monte Jarron Gay, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to CMC and pronounced dead.

Officers arrested the two suspects Monday evening. Terrence Parker, 19, was arrested at a motel on Independence Boulevard. Brenton Samuels, 19, was arrested in Mint Hill. They are both being charged with murder in Gay’s death.
