Two Homes Hit By Bullets In Neighborhood

Neighbors in a Charlotte neighborhood are on alert after two homes there were hit by bullets just a few hours apart. The Hamilton Circle neighborhood is located in north Charlotte.

The first home hit by bullets happened Tuesday night in the 6200 block of Sunbridge Court. Then a few hours later, early Wednesday, a home on Sunstone Drive was hit by bullets. The homes are located one street apart.

Officers with the North Division of the CMPD have stepped up patrols in the area, but neighbors are still worried. Police think two rival groups may have been behind the gunfire. Investigators say as of right now they don’t have enough evidence to charge anyone, but some suspects have been notified that police are watching them.
