Two Police Cars Hit During Chase

A Monroe man is facing numerous charges after police say he almost hit an officer and damaged two police cars while trying to run away from narcotics investigators.

The Monroe Police Department’s Narcotics and Violent Crimes unit conducted a drug investigation in the 1800 block of Morgan Mills Road on Tuesday evening. Police were trying to arrest Terrence Moser, 25, for the sale and delivery of  marijuana when Moser put his vehicle in reverse, trying to get away from police. During his attempt in the parking lot, Moser hit two police cars and almost hit an officer. He left the parking lot but crashed his vehicle a short distance away.

Moser is being charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on law enforcement, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, sell marijuana, deliver marijuana, resisting an officer, three counts of leaving the scene of an accident, running a red light, left of center, careless and reckless driving, and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for the sale of a controlled substance. He is being held at the Union County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
