KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Financial information and bank cards were among the items stolen from cars in Kannapolis last month.
Police responded to the 200 block of Fowler Street after several cars were broken into on July 14.
One victim lost his debit card and driver’s license in the burglary. Police say a woman tried to use them at a Community One Bank on Jake Alexander Boulevard and Statesville Boulevard. The teller noticed the card was reported stolen and took the license and card, which were returned to the victim.
Surveillance cameras captured the woman’s picture. Officers say the woman with dark hair may be an accomplice.
