CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a man wanted on several outstanding warrants late Monday.

The CMPD Violent Criminal Apprehension Team apprehended Lavarchio Allen, 30, more than two weeks after authorities say he cut off his electronic monitor.

Allen is charged with felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of marijuana and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

Police said Allen was released from jail on June 27 after being ordered to wear a CMPD electronic monitor. They said he cut off his monitor two days later in the University area.
