VCAT Searching For Man Who Cut Off Electronic Monitoring Device

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Malcolm Reynolds is wanted by the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) and the North Carolina Department of Public Safety on outstanding warrants for felony interferring with an electronic monitoring device and felony probation violation.

On February 18, 2013, Reynolds was convicted of felony possession of stolen good from a breaking and entering case.  Mr. Reynolds was ordered to wear a CMPD electronic monitoring device as a condition of his probation.  On May 1, Reynolds cut off his monitor and was last seen in the 2900 block of Shady Lane.

Mr. Reynolds is the eleventh offender monitored by the CMPD to cut a monitor off in 2013.    All of the offenders who previously cut their monitors off have since been captured.
