CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are still looking for a man wanted in connection with a shooting and armed robbery.
Police are looking for 21-year-old Gerico Dontae Alexander.
Authorities say Alexander entered a business in the 400 block of Little Rock Road around 6 p.m. on November 5, approached the store clerk and demanded money.
An argument ensued between Alexander and the clerk, officials say, leading Alexander to shoot the victim before taking money and fleeing the business on foot.
CMPD says the armed robbery and shooting do not appear to be a random act of violence.
Warrants for Alexander’s arrest have been obtained related to this crime.
Police say Alexander should be considered armed and dangerous.
