Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence recently said that a full investigation into the fatal shooting of a black man by a police officer in Charlotte is owed to the American people.
According to the Asheville Citizen-Times reports, Pence spoke to about 200 members from a Christian coalition of the House School Legal Defense Association in Black Mountain on Saturday.
He encouraged those in the audience to pray for the family of the victim, for Charlotte, and for involved law enforcement.
This comes after the protests that have been happening every night since the shooting that occurred on Sept. 20.
