Zerrell Fuentes is wanted by the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) on outstanding warrants for breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen property, larceny after breaking and entering, and interfering with an electronic monitoring device. On April 17, 2013 Fuentes posted a $25,000 secure bond and was ordered to wear a CMPD electronic monitor as a condition of his release from jail. The next day on April 18, 2013, detectives were investigating Fuentes for several additional breaking & entering cases that occurred before he was placed on monitoring. When Fuentes learned about the additional cases, he cut off his electronic monitor and fled. Fuentes was last seen on Marlowe Avenue near Berryhill Road. Fuentes has an extensive criminal history including multiple firearm charges, auto theft, assaults, and breaking and entering charges. Fuentes is the ninth offender monitored by CMPD to cut a monitor off in 2013 as compared to ten offenders at this time in 2012. All of the offenders who previously cut their monitors off have been captured.
