West Side Shooting Sends Two To The Hospital

tuckCHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two men were shot after an argument at Tuckaseegee Recreation Center on Sunday afternoon.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said two men were shot after an argument at the the Tuckaseegee Recreation Center around 4 p.m. Sunday.  When officers were called to the scene they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment.  Their names are not being released to protect their privacy, police said.

Police said  the two victims were involved in an altercation outside of the REC Center in the parking lot.  An unknown suspect then fired shots, striking the two victims and an unoccupied vehicle parked nearby.

The suspect then fled the scene by vehicle, according to police.
