A possible sexual assault is under investigation at a Mint Hill assisted living home, police say.
The victim, an 86-year-old woman, was a Lawyers Glen Assisted Living resident.
The victim was admitted to the hospital with “trauma consistent with sexual assault,” according to police last week.
The woman died in the hospital over the weekend, police said.
Police are being joined in the investigation by the State Bureau of Investigations.
